Munting Buhangin and that Island

It was rather just a random get-away with colleagues at work. It was supposed to be a team summer escapade. I was about to decline, but hearing “beach,” I definitely said YES.

Nasugbu, Batangas is rather unheard of for me compared to Laiya, El Nido, Coron, or even the infamous Boracay. But I thought that going to the beach would be something fresh for me to start off.

Our base was at Munting Buhangin Beach Camp. It’s a 3-4-hour drive from Manila. Upon seeing the island boats plying the shores, I thought it was for the island hopping. Worth PhP1,500.00 for 10 passengers, the island boat trip was worth the while.

Lo and behold, the island, high enough to set a cliff for travelers to enjoy, was just a breath-taking view.

“Stuff your eyes with wonder, live as if you’d drop dead in ten seconds. See the world. It’s more fantastic than any dream made or paid for in factories.” – Ray Bradbury
